Giving a voice to the profit protection industry

The Profit Protection Future Forum Steering Committe consists of loss prevention leaders who donate their time and expertise towards Australia and New Zeland's only not-for-profit loss prevention forum with a shared goal of promoting collaboration and partnership in the LP industry.

Here at the profit Protection Future Forum, we're committed to investing our expertise and resources in order to further achieve our cause. Since 2000, we've been supporting our community members in a variety of ways and measuring our success not by monetary size, but by more qualitative measurements such as the scale and effectiveness of our efforts in educating others about our shared industry.

With our organisation's mission always in mind, we strive to find new strategies for dealing with this challenge. Our webinars are something that we take very seriously, and our team is working each and every day to make a positive impact on our industry.

The initial motivation for this white paper was to learn how Loss Prevention (LP) teams dealt with the pandemic related lockdown. However, through talking to LP managers it became evident that the observations are transferable beyond the contecxt of COVID-19. Times of crisis reveal the essential characteristics of effective strategy and tactics in ways that "business as usual" conditions simply cannot.

The focus of this study was modified to consider the implications for LP in the context of a sector facing challenging circumstances and a rapid accelerations of prevailing trends.
